The new ASUS Q505UA – specs, features, configurations and prices

Today we would like to take a closer look at the new sleek ASUS Q505UA. The device is powered by an 8th generation quad-core Intel Core i5-8250U running at base clock speeds of up to 1.60 GHz. Additionally, the Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPU takes care of the graphics performance. You will also be presented with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 1000GB HDD. All the mentioned above ensures you will be able to multitask seamlessly, while each of the applications launch ultra fast.

The new ASUS Q505UA comes with a 15.6-inch NanoEdge display that features an IPS matrix with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. Moreover, this ultra-sharp display boasts the 178° wide-view technology allowing you to enjoy bright and contrasty colors no matter at what angle you look at the screen. What further contributes to the immersive image are the great pixel density and 100% sRGB coverage. Moreover, the NanoEdge multitouch display on ASUS Q505UA comes with 79% screen-to-body ratio meaning you can enjoy larger screen area while the bezel size is reduced to the minimum. And that’s not all – a matte anti-glare coating is available for great visual experience even in direct sunlight.

The design also doesn’t disappoint. The device is made of solid aluminum with scratch-resistant finish. The 360-degree hinge is extremely durable and robust so it holds the display firmly in place no matter what mode you choose to use it in – whether laptop or tablet. As for the input devices, they are also impressive. The keyboard has an ergonomic design with full-size keys and great key travel of 1.4mm, while the touchpad is pretty responsive and accurate. Both of them lock automatically when you switch to tablet mode.

ASUS Q505UA works with Windows 10 Home OS providing great features such as support for the ASUS Pen and Windows Ink that allow you to express yourself in a unique way. The connectivity options are also more than great – the device sports a single USB 3.0 Type-C, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, HDMI, SD card reader, as well as headphone/microphone jack. The specs sheet is complemented by Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1.
