The new Acer Nitro 7 (AN715-51) is a classy modification of the popular Nitro 5 – specs, configurations, prices

Just as Lenovo has the mid-range Legion Y540 and its almost the same but more expensive sibling Y740, Acer is adding a new series to its Nitro line. The new Nitro 7 will have a $200 (or EUR) higher price than the popular Nitro 5 but will offer some more classy characteristics in exchange.

Unlike the plastic body of Nitro 5, Nitro 7 is made out of aluminum which makes it feel more solid and durable while also allowing Acer to reduce its thickness with 1 mm – from 20.9 (0.82″) to 19.9 mm (0.8″).

Both series will be offered with a Full HD IPS screen (60 Hz or 144 Hz), up to GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and up to Intel Core i7-9750H. Nitro 7’s starting price is $999 (or 1199 EUR in Europe) while the cheapest Nitro 5 will cost you $799 (or 999 EUR). Is the hair-thinner metal body worth $200 more?
