The new Acer ConceptD 5, 7 and 9 series – Content creator’s dream (specs, configurations, prices)
Along with the new Acer Predator Helios 700, Helios 300, Nitro 5 and Nitro 7 gaming laptops the Taiwanese company announced something for the content creators as well. Actually, it is more than “something” – we have three new beautiful and powerful business series – ConceptD 5 (CN515-51), ConceptD 7 (CN715-71) and ConceptD 9 (CN917-71).
Acer ConceptD 5
Acer ConceptD 5 is the cheapest but it’s definitely not a low-end notebook. Just take a look at its specs – we have a 15.6 UHD 4K IPS display with 100% Adobe RGB coverage and Pantone Validated calibration. The CPU is Intel Core i7-8705G and the AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL takes care of the graphics tasks. It’s 16.9 mm thick and it weighs just 1.5 kg.
It looks like Acer isn’t very sure about the color accuracy (Acer.com will be technically right if the dE is < 1) but we’ll tell you the exact numbers as soon as the laptop arrives in our laboratory.

Acer ConceptD 7
Acer ConceptD 7 is heavier (2.1 kg) and a bit thicker (17.9 mm) but that’s nothing given what we see in the specs sheet – 9th Gen Intel Core and GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q! It has the same 100% Adobe RGB and Pantone Validated calibrated screen and beautiful white body.

Acer ConceptD 9
Acer ConceptD 9 (CN917-71) – a totally different machine here. That’s something like the Triton 900 (in-depth review) but with a simpler design made for content creators. It has a 17-inch 4K UHD IPS display with Wacom EMR pen support, up to Core i9-9880H CPU and GeForce RTX 2080 GPU (not Max-Q). This model will hit the USA in June for $4999. The European release is expected in August for 4999 EUR.
