MediaTek announced the powerful 10-core Helio X30 mobile chip

MediaTek-Final-1280x721_副本MediaTek officially presented a new mobile CPU – Helio X30. Similarly to the already announced Helio X20 and Helio X25, this new chip features 10 cores divided in three clusters. The first one offers four Cortex-A73 cores ticking up to 2.8 GHz, the second one has four Cortex-A53 cores ticking at 2.2 GHz, and a third cluster with two Cortex-A35 cores operating at 2 GHz (meant for the main tasks).

Helio X30 has been manufactured through a 10nm FinFET technological process, and supports up to 40MP cameras, 8 GB of RAM, and LTE Cat. 12. Additionally, the chip features the PowerVR 7XT GPU that comes with four cores and high graphics performance.

Helio X30 is expected to appear in devices in the second half of 2017, most likely on the Asian market.

This information is INCORRECT. According to the OFFICIAL announced specs, the Helio X30’s cluster configurations are as follows:
1st Cluster: 2x Cortex-A73 Cores @ 2.5GHz; 2nd Cluster: 4x Cortex-A53 Cores @ 2.2GHz; 3rd Cluster: 4x Cortex-A35 Cores @ 1.9GHz
