日本Lenovo has just launched an update aimed to fix P70’s problems and bugs
We informed you about an upcoming software update for Lenovo P70, which is intended to fix some major bugs in the system. The update is already launched, so if you have problems with your P70, odds are that most of them will be fixed.
In order to install it you should go to Settings – About phone – System Update and hit Download.
One of Lenovo P70’s problems was the bad call quality (the other side couldn’t hear you well), but only if you make a call after shooting a video. Also, saving a landline number in Google Contacts caused a problem with the following incoming calls from it.
With the new update Lenovo got rid of these problems, but we’re aware of another one major flaw – weak 3G reception. We haven’t tested the phone in out-of-the-town scenario yet, but we’re going to do it soon and we’ll share the results.

Now the major problem is the battery life, cant stand even 12 hours moderate usage.. I switched to this phone from P780 which is far way better battery life which offer same 4000mAH capacity.. Please fix this Lenovo.. Thanks..
Hey Amir, I have the same problem, battery discharges very quickly. Tried many ways to reduce battery consumption but nothing helped, this seems to be software issue.

As you can see in the review, our unit doesn’t have a battery life problem. Can you run this test on your P70:
0. Charge your phone to 100%
1. Set your brightness to 20% (this equals to 120cd/m2 for P70)
2. Download “Epic Citadel” from Google Play
3. Set the graphic settings to “High Quality”
4. Run it (hit “Guided Tour”) and measure the time to turn off
battery draining issue caused by phone signal.
I have tested this phone for more than two weeks. I can’t see any problem on batery life (it last at least 2 days with Wi-Fi/3G always on and moderate usage),Seems that 3G signal issues have been solved with this latest sw update.

My problem has been fixed after last update too. At least 2 days with wifi/4G consantly on.
I made all the updates peovided by lenovo but still my battery drains fast.. It cant last even a day with wifi always on.. No 3G.. It drains battery even on stand by.. 4000mAh works just like a 2000mAh in an octacore phone.. My old phone which is a quadcore with 2000maH works even better than this P70.. My old phone is already 2years with me and it still kicks P70’s ass.
Can u create whatsapp group for p70 user so can discuss easier.. Just leave a phone number.. My battery not even 12 hours moderate use now 9 percent left..
hi any one have a problem with the sensor while having a call ??? after i finish the call i found many opened applications like calender , wifi and i dont know wat to do any help plz ?
Hi, NEver experienced that kind of problem, proximity sensor does it’s job perfectly.

Hi shady i been lookin around for a solution to fix the proximity sensor i downloaded app from google store (phone tester) and the sensor works but while in call the screen not waking up after the phone is far from my ear i just uninstalled clean master app and i cant belive that the sensor is working perfectly now so it may be related to another app u installed hope this helps

no this update has no effect on 3g problem. Battery life is poor too. Any future updates???

I got an firmware update for P70, 2 days back and after that the the problem of 3G signal has started. If I select type of network to GSM only, then its working perfect. But as soon as I select WCDMA/GSM auto, the phone starts misbehaving and most of the time it says no network. Where as all the other phone has full network. How could I contact Lenovo for this solution. Can any one help?

I recently updated my phone to the S130 version. the mobile data problem became even worse! I hardly have 3G connection, and it’s affecting my calls also. Hopefully the next update will solve this issue
Same here! I rarely had problem with the 3g but still sometimes I had no access but now after updating this morning the problem is constant. I have to restart at least once an hour to have internet access. Can I revert back to previous version and wait for fix? This is getting really annoying! I am starting to regret purchasing this phone!
