HP announces the ProBook x360 440 G1 – a mainstream business 2-in-1

At the technological event Computex 2018 held in Taipei, HP announced a new 14-inch budget-friendly convertible which goes under the name ProBook x360 440 G1 targeted at general business users.

Starting off with the hardware side of things, the convertible comes with a wide variety of CPU options – starting with the entry-level Intel Celeron 3865U and going all the way up to the latest 8th gen Intel Core i7-8550U processor. As for the graphics card, you are presented with the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 clocked at 300 – 1050 MHz. The convertible also relies on up to 16 GB of DDR4-2133 RAM. When it comes to storage, you get an M.2 slot that can sport a 128 GB/256 GB SATA drive or a 256 GB/512 GB NVMe drive. 

Additionally, there are two display options to choose from. Both feature 14-inch FHD touchscreens, however, one meets 67% of the sRGB standard, whereas the other stands out with 100% sRGB gamut coverage. The second option is suitable not only for office work but also for creative tasks. Furthermore, the new ProBook x360 440 G1 comes with dimensions of 330 x 232 x 19.8 mm and 1.72 kg (3.8 lbs) weight which speaks of quite good portability.

In terms of connectivity, ProBook x360 440 G1 covers the basics. You are presented with 1x USB 3.0 Type-C port, 2x USB 3.0 Type-A port, HDMI, SD card reader, combo audio jack, as well as Security Lock slot.

The HP ProBook x360 440 G1 is expected to hit the market later this month with a starting price of $599.
