Futuremark is working on Vulcan and DirectX 12 tests for the 3DMark package

The Finnish company Futuremark is developing new game-tests for the 3DMark software package (can be downloaded here) which allows you to test your GPU. What we know for sure is that there will be a new benchmark that will make DirectX 12 tests lighter and won’t be as burdening to hardware components as Time Spy is.

On the other hand, VR tests are also being developed and established, and the company is hoping to release new PC and mobile platform tests as soon as possible.

What’s more interesting here is some info around the new Vulcan API test which will be out both for Windows and Android. We expect it to be out at some time in January 2017.
