BenQ launches EW277HDR – 27-inch HDR monitor with high native contrast and wide color gamut coverage

It was very recently that the renowned monitor manufacturer BenQ revealed a new product – the EW277HDR. It is a 27-inch monitor, as the name suggests, and it boasts pretty decent properties. The target market segment of this bad boy is the one of “digital entertainment enthusiasts”, to use the words of Conway Lee, President of BenQ Corporation.

And so, let us go through the most notable specs. First of all, it is a Full HD HDR (high dynamic range) monitor with VA panel technology. You are thus presented with very high native contrast (3000:1), 400-nit maximum brightness, as well as 93% color gamut coverage of the cinematic DCI-P3 color space. Your eyes will be protected by the available Eye-care technology (low blue light emissions and no PWM).

As far as connectivity options are concerned, you get a VGA and two HDMI ports. The monitor also features integrated loudspeakers.
