Acer Spin 3 (SP314-55N): Full Specs

The design of the Spin 3 uses aluminum, with a glass slab over the display. The front of the lid and base are more rectangular, while the back is rounder, to make for easier folding with the 360-degree hinge. The laptop comes in silver, weighs 1.50 kg, and has a profile of 19.1 mm.

The panel on the front has a 14-inch diagonal, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a Full HD resolution. The max brightness is a bit low, at only 250 nits, but the thing still covers 100% of the sRGB gamut, so you’re set to explore your creative side, especially with the available stylus.

Specifications and features

The laptop is powered by two Alder Lake U-series processors: the Core i5-1235U and the Core i7-1255U. These CPUs target efficiency first and performance second, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t perform. Thanks to the high number of cores and the integrated graphics, you can even tackle productivity and Creator work.

The base has a small keyboard and only one vent, which is either for cooling or speakers, but we hope it is the former, as we’ve seen U-series chips run way past their 15W TDP, so having as much access to air as possible is definitely a good thing. The touchpad has a fingerprint reader in the upper left corner.

The I/O includes two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 2) ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, a MicroSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
