Design

With a price tag that high, you have to expect some premium materials, and it’s nice to see that we do get them. The laptops are built entirely using an aluminum-magnesium alloy. They also have endured the MIL-STD 810H, which is a military standard test, which shows a device’s endurance against rain, humidity, low and high temperatures, ballistic shock, and many others.

Design-wise, they look very sophisticated, as they come in a matte black color, along with minimal branding, which makes them look even better. In fact, the Acer logo is only seen in a small rectangle in the upper right corner and on the bottom bezel. Weight and height are very very manageable with the regular P6 weighing 1.10 kg, while the convertible Spin P6 is even lighter, stopping the scales at 1.00 kg sharp. Both devices share the same height of 16.8 mm.

Display

The laptops share an identical display, with the only difference being that the Spin P6 uses a touchscreen of course. Also, both laptops have a Gorilla Glass cover, which should improve the flex resistance of the devices even more. The displays on both notebooks have a diagonal of 14 inches and use a 16:10 aspect ratio. They have an FHD+ resolution and use IPS panels. Furthermore, the displays cover 100% of the sRGB color gamut, ensuring vibrant and deep colors.

Specifications and features

In terms of specs, there aren’t a lot of options, but the ones that are here are really good and fit the character of the devices. The laptops offer two CPUs from the Tiger Lake U-series, with the entry configurations getting the Core i5-1145G7, while the people with deeper pockets might want to upgrade to the Core i7-1185G7. Both processors are vPro certified, ensuring better stability and smoother performance. It should be to no surprise that the GPUs are all integrated, with two versions of the Iris Xe Graphics G7, either ith 80 or 96 Execution Units.

Features-wise, the laptops offer a fingerprint reader, embedded in the power button, a backlit keyboard, and an IR webcam. The Spin P6 device also comes with an integrated Stylus Pen, so you can bring your visions to life on the spot.

With such tiny devices, we are happy that the I/O, while being small, provides all the necessities, such as Thunderbolt 4 ports, a MicroSD card slot, and an optional eSIM.
