Tiger Lake can now be found practically anywhere. Laptops with it have flooded the market, which is great since the new architecture allows the processors to be really snappy and able to handle decently heavy workloads. Today we have the latest option from Dell, which is offering said processor family for a great price.

Today we are taking a quick look at the Dell Inspiron 15 3511.

Design

The laptop is entirely built out of plastic but has a nice matte black color, which Dell dubs Carbon Black. The laptop has thin bezels, with a matte display cover. The laptop is outfitted with rubber feet and the lid is constructed in such a way so that it lifts the rear of the base, giving the fans more room to breathe. Dell, being one of the more environmentally friendly manufacturers, uses as many recycled materials as possible. The packaging is entirely made of recycled cardboard, while the device itself is painted with waterborne paint, which has fewer toxins to pollute the atmosphere.

Display

The display selection consists of two 15.6-inch panels, with either a 768p TN panel or a Full HD IPS panel. Both have a matte finish and a Blue light software solution from Dell which minimizes the Blue light that is emitted from the display, making it more comfortable for prolonged use.

Specifications and features

The laptop is offered with either the Core i3-1115G4, Core i5-1135G7, or Core i7-1165G7. In terms of graphics, you get the integrated Xe Graphics G4 or G7 units, which are quite powerful and you should probably just get the laptop with them. If you really want a discrete GPU, the MX350 is also available.

Features-wise, you get an optional fingerprint reader, a backlit keyboard, while stereo speakers come with even the base model.
