Microsoft Surface Pro 8: Full Specs

Design

The device looks similar to other Surface products, using a metal chassis, which should be pretty durable if any previous Surface devices can be an indication of build quality. There are chamfered edges and round corners, along with a Microsoft logo on the back. You also have the signature kickstand, which has 180 degrees of adjustment. In terms of dimensions, the laptop weighs 0.89 kg and has a profile of 9.3 mm.

Display

The display that is used here has a 13-inch diagonal, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a 2.8K display with a 2880x1920p resolution. The display has an IPS panel and uses Pixelsense technology, which can accept multiple inputs at once. Microsoft gives no information about the color reproduction of the display, but we are hopeful, as these devices are considered premium products.

Specifications and features

Finally, in terms of performance, we have either the Core i5-1135G7 or the Core i7-1185G7. The latter brings Intel Evo support, which better integrates the CPU and iGPU inside, for better performance of the two. All in all, you should be able to do everything you would want to with the laptop, in the realm of reasonable, regardless of which CPU you go for.

For graphics, you have the Iris Xe Graphics with either 80EU or 96EU provides nice performance in not only daily tasks, but also in gaming as well, being able to handle multiplayer games with ease, and some more demanding titles at low settings and lowered resolutions.

The keyboard attachment comes in the box, which is pleasant. The unit also elevated the notebook, giving you a more comfortable typing angle. The I/O is staggered, however, with only two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

As the device is more akin to a tablet, there are two cameras, with a 5MP front-facing camera and a 10MP rear-facing sensor. There are also stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
