[Specs, Info, and Prices] HP Fortis 14 G10 Chromebook – Imagine if it didn’t have the Chromebook logo

In the midst of Intel retiring the Celeron and Pentium CPU brands, we have a notebook that takes full advantage of these power-efficient processors, thanks to ChromeOS. The HP Fortis 14 G10 Chromebook uses that efficient OS very well, offering smooth and snappy performance.

However, pricing is a bit high, if we have to be honest since sales are happening all around the place for the upcoming holidays, so you could possibly get a more powerful device with ULV-chip from either Intel or AMD, which offer similar efficiency, but with increased performance.

Still, we’re here today to give you a quick overview of the HP Fortis 14 G10 Chromebook.

The HP Fortis 14 G10 Chromebook is available now with a starting price of $489.99.

HP Fortis 14 G10 Chromebook: Full Specs

The laptop is primarily made of plastic, with a pretty decent design. Usually, since Chromebooks are a bit thicker and made for the classroom, they are reinforced and made thicker on purpose, in order to survive the occasional drop and just general use. The Fortis 14 weighs 1.64 kg and has a 20.9 mm profile, which is around the same size as a Predator Triton 300 SE, a laptop a lot more expensive, but also a lot more powerful. The lid has a rubberized finish, with a black glossy HP logo, which makes for a very stealthy appearance, if it wasn’t for the large Chromebook logo.

On the front, we have a 14-inch FHD IPS display with a 250 nit max brightness. Don’t wait for any good color representation, as this is a budget machine.

Specifications and features

The laptop is powered by one of three Intel CPUs: the Celeron N4500, the Celeron N5100, and the Pentium Silver N6000. Each CPU comes with an iGPU, with up to a 32EU Jasper Lake iGPU. The keyboard is a pretty fancy unit, offering spill resistance. The keys are also anchored, so a kid can’t pry them out.

The I/O includes two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, one USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, an HDMI 1.4 port, a MicroSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. There is an optional SIMcard tray.
