Dell has a whole mountain of brands and laptops that it’s becoming quite confusing, even for us. Their latest addition, the Latitude 15 9520 comes in two variants: both a standard laptop and a 2-in-1 convertible.

Regardless of what you pick, you’ll be getting the same level of performance and build quality, thanks to Tiger Lake, and Dell’s new Eco-friendly design principles, which incorporate a decent level of bioplastic and recyclable materials into their laptops.

Today we are giving you a quick look at the Dell Latitude 15 9510 and Latitude 15 9520 (2-in-1).

Design

Both the regular and convertible models come with an aluminum unibody which gives them that premium feel. They are crafted from a single block of aluminum using CNC milling. They also have diamond-cut edges, which make the laptops easier to grab, along with a brushed aluminum finish. Thin bezels are also part of the overall package, adding to the modern look. In terms of weight and height, the notebooks are identical, stopping the scales at 1.40 kg, while having a profile of 9.13 ~ 14.84 mm.

Display

Both laptops share identical display offerings, with the only difference being the touchscreen support on the convertible, which is obvious. Other than that, there are two options, both with a diagonal of 15.6 inches and IPS panels. The first display has a Full HD resolution and 400 nits of brightness. The secondary panel ups the resolution to 4K and the brightness to 500 nits. Both displays are TÜV Rheinland certified and have a built-in blue light filter, making prolonged use safe.

Specifications and features

Specs-wise, both laptops come with vPro certified Tiger Lake CPUs, which offer higher stability and are specially made for business, productivity, and workstation laptops. The start-off point is the Core i5-1135G7, with the Core i7-1185G7 being the highest option, which delivers good performance while being very power-efficient. You get Intel’s Iris Xe Graphics G7 units for the graphics, which are probably the best integrated graphics that you can buy right now.

Dell gives you many features, from Dell’s software suite, like ExpressCharge and ComfortView, along with a slew of others such as Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5, and Thunderbolt 4 support. You get an optional fingerprint reader, a backlit keyboard, a Quad-Array Microphone, and Stereo Speakers with SoundWire 1.1 technology.
