ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 OLED (UM5500): Full Specs

Design

With this device in the office, you will 100% capture the attention of your colleagues. It is crafted from metal and comes with some pretty sophisticated shapes such as the chamfered edges, which you can see not only on the lid but on the base as well. Even the sides of the base are crafted with diamond cuts. The lid is covered with a circular pattern that is centered around the ASUS logo. The lid has implemented ErgoLift, with it acting as a lever, lifting up the rear of the notebook for more comfortability when typing and better cooling efficiency.

Display

There is a single display option, with a 15.6-inch diagonal 4K UHD resolution and an OLED panel. The display has 550 nits of peak brightness and fully covers the DCI-P3 color gamut. It’s safe to say you will be able to use it as a Creator laptop, thanks to the Pantone validation. A response time of 0.2 ms ensures you get fast and smooth visuals.

Specifications and features

With a Ryzen 9 5900HX, you get the best possible performance. The chip is out worldly powerful, with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a boost speed of over 4.50GHz. When it comes to graphics performance, the RTX 3050 Ti will suffice for both heavy graphics workloads and gaming. With both of these, you will need the best possible cooling. For ASUS that is their IceCool setup, which is also found inside other ZenBook and VivoBook devices.

Being as you would use the laptop for a variety of workloads, you will need good I/O coverage. That is why the device has a single USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, a USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2), an SD card reader, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an HDMI 2.0 connector.
