Samsung Galaxy J5 preview – mid-range phone with Super AMOLED display and 13MP rear camera
A new mid-range device has caught our eye and will probably receive an in-depth review in the near future. We are referring to the Samsung Galaxy J5 and before we have the opportunity to test the device ourselves, we offer you a preview in which we will list all the official information about the device like specs, capabilities and features. You can check the price of the device in the following link: http://amzn.to/1LV8n7g
5-inch Super AMOLED display and Snapdragon 410
Galaxy J5’s display has a 5-inch diagonal with 720 x 1280 resolution that results in pixel density of 294 ppi. An important addition to it, however, is the Super AMOLED panel guaranteeing high brightness, contrast and vivid colors, along with wide viewing angles even under direct sunlight.
The popular Snapdragon 410 is taking care for the device’s performance. It offers four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.2GHz. Along with the quad-core CPU we have the Adreno 306 GPU and 1.5GB of RAM. The internal storage is only 8GB, but that can be fixed easily, thanks to the microSD card slot that supports cards with capacity of up to 128GB.
13MP rear camera and pleasant, thin design
The main (rear) camera of the device features 13MP sensor paired with LED flash and autofocus. It also has f/1.9 aperture, which is a prerequisite for high-quality photos even at low light conditions. Galaxy J5 also has some features that would please the selfie fans. It boasts a 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash, wide angles and some additional features like taking a photo with palm detection.
The design of Galaxy J5 also looks nice. The phone features an elegant and thin body with a maximum thickness of only 7.9 mm. The pleasantly curved sides will help you get a better and more secure grip of it. A silver bezel goes around the sides of device and further improves the already stylish design. The phone weighs 146 grams with that being completely normal for its dimensions.
2600mAh battery and Android 5.1 Lollipop
Galaxy J5 has a 2600 mAh battery, but, unfortunately, we don’t have any information about its durability. Keep in mind that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC is power efficient, which along with the 5-inch display raise our hopes for better battery life. Furthermore, the Ultra Power Saving mode expands battery life by limiting the device’s functionality to only the basics.
The OS that Galaxy S5 is running is Android 5.1 Lollipop and along with it, we have Samsung’s TouchWiz UI adding many neat features and applications.
