First impressions of Prestigio Wize C3 – a low-end 5-inch model
Here is the new smartphone accessible to a wide range of people, and one of the most serious competitors to GSmart Essence. We want to share with you our first impressions of the device.
You can find more information about the price of Prestigio Wize C3 and availability in blue, gray and black at the following link:
Prestigio Wize C3 has a 5-inch display, which can be defined as a plus for this price class, because it offers a big working area . There is TN matrix, so the viewing angles are not so good, but that is important only when you are tilting the device forward or backward. When the screen is in front of you, you won’t be having any visibility problems. We’d much prefer an HD-capable display, but in this case we must be satisfied with the 854 x 480 resolution, providing detail of about 196ppi.
Like any other 5-inch model, Wize C3 offers comfortable grip and one-hand operation, although the side frames are not so thin and makes the smartphone little bulky. Its thickness is 9.9mm and weight – 171 g – we’re not exactly overjoyed at the dimensions, but they can be forgiven considering the price. Speaking of design, the smartphone has a matte soft plastic back, pleasant to the touch. It’s hard to spot any fingerprints. The volume and Power buttons are on the right side. They are slightly convex, but also merge with the background and the most importantly – they’re sufficiently convenient. Wize C3 has two slots for SIM cards. You can access them after removing the back cover and the battery.
The big number of preinstalled applications makes a good impression. The total number of applications after startup is 48, along with Google’s standard packages. There’s OfficeSuite for creating and reading documents, CleanMaster for cleaning the RAM, eReader Prestigio for reading books, MAPS.ME navigation, McAfee Security for virus protection, etc. Prestigio Wize C3 runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, but the company has made lots of changes in the overall appearance. For example, the settings menu includes small colored icons on a white background.
Keep in mind that the internal memory is 4GB, and only 1.67GB of that space is available. If you want to add your music collection to your phone, you’ll have to make use of the microSD slot for additional memory. In our upcoming review, we will pay more attention to the CPU performance, battery life, capabilities of the camera, etc.
