5.2-inch screen and metal construction
ASUS Zenfone 3 Max has a screen diagonal of 5.2’’. The matrix is IPS and has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, which is equal to pixel density of 282ppi.
The phone’s design is distinctive from what the competition has to offer. The corpus is metal – something common, but still rare in this price range. The 2.25 mm thin frame around the screen makes the screen-body ratio to be 75%. On the back of the device we can find fingerprint sensor – option that is yet to come in more affordable phones.
Mediatek MT6737M and 13MP camera
A Mediatek MT6737M chip ensures the performance of Zenfone 3 Max. Its 4 cores with frequency of 1.25GHz and 2 GB of RAM are expected to cope with standard procedures such as social media scrolling without any problem.
The main camera of Zenfone 3 Max is 13 MP with an f/2.2 aperture. It features autofocus and LED flash, as well as face recognition, HDR and panoramic pictures. The camera can record videos in Full HD(1920×1080) resolution and 30 fps. An interesting feature is the so called “Super Resolution” where some frames are taken at the same time, then they are put together. The final result is a exclusively detailed 52MP image.
The front selfie camera is 5MP with an f/2.0 aperture.
In the advertisement of ASUS Zenfone 3 Max great attention is paid to the huge Li-Po battery.
Its capacity of 4100 mAh is significantly bigger than most batteries. ASUS claim that the battery can hold up to 30 days in stand-by mode, up to 20 hours of phone call, up to 18 hours browsing the internet and up to 87 hours listening to music. Super Saving mode allows Zenfone 3 Max to endure for 36 more hours in stand-by mode with only 10% remaining capacity. If that is really true, some users can last 2-3 days with a single recharge. And that’s not all – with the USB On-The-Go technology you can use your phone as a power bank to recharge your other devices.
