[FPS Benchmarks] The Witcher 3 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (150W) and RTX 3070 Ti (150W) – RTX 3080 is 7% faster

The Witcher 3 is such a popular game that probably it doesn’t need a special introduction. The game was released in 2015 and it still looks good in 2022. This is not a console port and the optimization is on another level plus the current-gen hardware is much more powerful compared to the one that was available in 2015 so even most of the low-end dGPUs are powerful enough to run this game at least on Low details.

The game isn’t hungry for VRAM and 2GB GPU is just fine for High and Ultra details. A low-end GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce MX450 (GDDR6, 25W) is powerful enough to show 42 FPS on the High preset which is okay for a single-player title. For today’s article, we’re going to show you two powerful beasts – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (150W) and RTX 3070 Ti (150W).

So, let’s test something a lot more powerful with the aid of The Witcher 3 – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (165W) and RTX 3070 (140W).

Verdict

Sure, the GeForce RTX 3080 [150W] is 7% faster on average compared to the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti [150W] but that’s a small difference and it’s almost impossible to spot it. Given the price difference between these two GPUs, it seems that the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti [150W] is the logical choice – it’s almost as fast as its more premium contender but it costs less.
