[FPS Benchmarks] The Witcher 3 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) and RTX 3060 (100W) – the RTX 3080 is 20% faster on average
There isn’t anything much to see about the game as The Witcher 3 – this is a super-successful title that (probably) doesn’t need any kind of introduction. The game was released in 2015 and it still looks fine even by today’s standards. The good news is that the game isn’t heavy at all when it comes to modern hardware.
For our comparison, we have picked two decent Ampere GPUs that come with close TGP values – the GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) and RTX 3060 (100W).

Verdict
In short, the GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) is 20% faster on average when compared to the RTX 3060 (100W). The difference isn’t small but both video cards are fast enough for 144 Hz displays on High quality. So, if you want higher FPS values and a more future-proof product, the GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) is one of the possible solutions. On the other hand, the smaller GPU will save you a lot of bucks and its performance isn’t bad at all.
