[FPS Benchmarks] The Witcher 3 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W) – the 130W GPU scores 122 FPS on Ultra details

The Witcher 3 is a super successful PC game that was ported for consoles after some time which is still a curious case. The game is well-optimized and even not-so-powerful GPUs like the GeForce MX350 or iGPUs like AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 and Vega 8 (Ryzen 4000/5000) can run this game at least on Low settings.

This is a 2015 title but the engine still looks up to date and in addition to that you can find tons of visual enhancing mods for this game.

Because of the decent optimization, the game doesn’t need too much video memory and even on Ultra a mid-range GPU like AMD RX 5500M can push around 60 FPS. So, let’s see how many frames per second the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W) can show in this game.

Verdict

Both GPUs show good results – even the 85W graphics card can hit 99 FPS on Ultra details. Normally, the 130W GPU is faster and it can reach 122 FPS on Ultra settings as well. For gamers with 144 Hz displays – just switch to High, the game still looks more than decent.

For people who always prefer FPS over visual quality – the Witcher 3 doesn’t look bad on Low and if you want to see around 200 FPS, yes, the Low preset is the way to go here.

You could add a temperature comparison on the CPU and GPU.

ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17 vs RTX3070 vs RTX3080 laptop comparisons, can you do something like that?
