[FPS Benchmarks] Rocket League on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 [40W and 50W] – both are suitable for 144 Hz or even faster displays
Rocket League was launched in 2015 and yes sir, this game was a breath of fresh air. The gameplay is simple – it’s like soccer (a.k.a. football) you’re going to use cars to hit the ball into the opponent’s goal. The formula is fairly simple but you can have a lot of fun with this game.
The good news is that the title is free-to-play since September 2020 so everyone can enjoy it. This game is based on Unreal Engine 3 and it’s pretty light – 60 FPS is not a problem on High-Performance mode for a lot of iGPUs. For the ones who own devices with 144Hz or even faster panels, we’re going to check the performance of the GeForce GTX 1650 [40W, 896 CUDA, GDDR6] and the GeForce GTX 1650 [50W, 1024 CUDA, GDDR5].

Verdict
One of the main pros of Rocket League is the game can run on almost everything. As you can see, both GPUs can push over 450+ FPS on High-Performance. If you have a 300 Hz display perhaps the abovementioned visual preset would be a good option for extra smoothness during multiplayer matches.
When we switched to High-Quality the frames were decent as well. The 40W GPU reaches 172 FPS and the bigger one hits almost 190 FPS – excellent values for 144 Hz panels.
