[FPS Benchmarks] Red Dead Redemption 2 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) and RTX 3060 (140W) – RTX 3060 is close

The gameplay formula of Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t that different compared to Grand Theft Auto V for example. First of all, both games are created by Rockstar Games and in these two titles, you can roam freely in one huge world full of story missions, side tasks, challenges, gunfights, and a lot more other things because Rockstar Games know how to add successfully tons of different content in a game.

In terms of graphics, the game looks great but unfortunately, it’s not among the lightest titles on the market. Actually, it’s one of the heaviest if you want to bump all the visual settings to the max. Still, if you aren’t greedy for super eye-candy visuals, the game can offer a good picture quality even on Medium settings and with a modest GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti [95W] you can expect more than 60 FPS on Medium. For this article, we’ll compare two fast GPUs- the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) and RTX 3060 (140W).

Verdict

Unexpectedly, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) is just 5% faster on average compared to the GeForce RTX 3060 (140W). Not a huge difference at all and the biggest advantage of the more premium video card is its bigger VRAM buffer. The GeForce RTX 3060 (140W) can offer a good amount of FPS when it comes to Red Dead Redemption 2 whiteout being as expensive as the GeForce RTX 3080 (95W).
