[FPS Benchmarks] Red Dead Redemption 2 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (95W) and RTX 3060 (65W) – the 95W GPU is 18% faster
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a Rockstar Games blockbuster that debuted on PC at the end of 2019. It seems that the PC version has a good optimization because even a GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce MX450 (GDDR6 / 25W) can achieve 41 FPS on Low settings.
The game is set in the Wild West (1889) and yes, you can ride horses – no cars here. Just like in GTA V, you have one huge world for exploration that is full of main story missions and a lot of side quests. Visually, the game looks very good. Unfortunately, if you want to see it maxed out, a powerful machine is a must.
For this comparison, we have prepared two fast mid-rangers – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (95W) and RTX 3060 (65W).

Verdict
So, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (95W) is 18% faster on average compared to RTX 3060 (65W). The difference isn’t that small and this can be easily spotted in heavy fights with a lot of shooting – in this scenario, the 95W clearly has the upper hand. However, the sweet spot for both GPUs is the Medium preset where the two rivals can show more than 60 FPS while the visual quality is still acceptable.
