[FPS Benchmarks] PUBG on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) and RTX 3060 (100W) – the RTX 3080 wins but the RTX 3060 is the smart buy

PUBG is one of the most successful battle royale games and that’s because of the fact that its gameplay is fun enough and when it comes to system requirements, it’s isn’t punishing the hardware too much. Sure, not the most beautiful game in the genre especially if you directly compare it to Call Of Duty: Warzone but the picture quality isn’t the most important thing here.

For today’s comparison, we’ll inspect the performance of two fast NVIDIA Ampere GPUs – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) and RTX 3060 (100W). Let’s see if these two can show enough FPS for high refresh rate displays.

Verdict

On Low and Medium settings the difference between the two rivals isn’t big. On the other hand, when the GPU load is rising (ergo, High and Ultra details), the bigger GPU is showing its muscles and it’s ~18 to 19% faster compared to the smaller sibling. In the meantime, the GeForce RTX 3060 (100W) is showing great performance given its price tag.
