[FPS Benchmarks] Metro Exodus on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) and RTX 3060 (140W) – RTX 3080 is 14% faster on average

Metro Exodus is a game that offers a thrilling single-player experience just like the previous Metro titles. You can expect a lot of fights in tight claustrophobic spaces with blinking lighting and we a few ammo for your weapons. Still, in one of the DLCs of the game, you can use a flamethrower so you can burn all your enemies while making the surrounded area much brighter.

Metro Exodus is one of the heaviest games out there. Even a powerful GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (Laptop, 140W) delivers 40 FPS on Max quality which may be too low for some of you. We’re still waiting for a mobile video card that can breach the 60 FPS Mark on Max details. For this article, we’ll compare the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) and RTX 3060 (140W).

Verdict

So, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) is 14% faster compared to the GeForce RTX 3060 (140W). Not bad but it’s not a mind-blowing performance gap. If you need a thin and light gaming machine (and money isn’t a problem), the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) could be on your shortlist. However, if you want to save some bucks, the GeForce RTX 3060 (140W) is a good choice that can be found in bigger gaming laptops because it requires significant cooling because the bigger TGP leads to higher heat dissipation.
