[FPS Benchmarks] Metro Exodus on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (150W) and RTX 3070 Ti (150W) – RTX 3080 is 9% faster

Metro Exodus is still one of the heaviest PC games if you want to see the title in its full visual glory. Based on our testing, even high TGP variants of the GeForce RTX 3080 can’t touch the 60 FPS on Extreme details. Other than that, the title has an interesting single-player story full of missions, different locations, and a lot of choices that lead to different game endings.

Graphically, the title looks great but as we said, it is a tough cookie for almost every device on the market. Still, if the High preset is the way to go (probably) for most people. In this scenario, a mid-range GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 [Laptop, 75W] is enough for over 60 FPS For this article, we’ll compare two fast video cards – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (150W) and RTX 3070 Ti (150W).

Verdict

Sure, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (150W) has won the match but the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (150W) isn’t too far behind. Even on the Extreme preset, the smaller GPU is showing almost the same FPS value as its more fancy rival. For a single-player game, a bit more than 50 FPS should be (probably) enough for a normal gaming experience but if you need more FPS you can switch down to High quality and the FPS will be going sky-high.
