日本[FPS Benchmarks] Metro Exodus on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W) – the 130W sibling is 31% faster on Extreme quality
When it comes to heavy PC games Metro Exodus is probably one of the first ones that come to mind. The game offers a good storyline alongside beautiful graphics, and yes – a lot of action that includes fighting with mutants and monsters. Graphically-wise, the Extreme preset looks very good but even 30 FPS is a challenge for a lot of laptops out there.
The High preset is a breath of fresh air in terms of FPS because the visual quality is still good but the frames per second are higher. So, last year we saw that even GPUs like the RTX 2080 Super Max-Q can struggle to deliver more than 35 FPS on Extreme preset. Let’s see if the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W) can do the job better than the previous-gen GPUs.

Verdict
Not bad at all, on Extreme quality the smaller 85W GPU show the same score as the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q (90W). The 130W version shows a lot of muscle when everything is maxed out and it has a 31% lead which is a hefty difference.
For gamers that need more FPS, as we said the High preset offers a good combination of visual quality and decent FPS, and in this situation, both graphics cards deliver higher FPS compared to the Extreme quality.
