[FPS Benchmarks] Gears 5 on AMD Radeon RX 6800M and RX 6600M – the RX 6800M is 30% faster on average
Gears 5 is the successor of Gears Of War 4 and the new game follows the story events after the end of the previous title. Gears 5 uses the same engine as Gears Of War 4 (Unreal Engine 4) but the visual quality is enhanced compared to the old title.
The good news is that the game isn’t too heavy and it’s not punishing the hardware like some other title like Metro Exodus. Gears 5 has a multiplayer mode and if you plan to play it regularly a high FPS isn’t a bad idea – in this case, the higher the better.
For this comparison, we have picked two fast AMD RDNA 2 GPUs – the AMD Radeon RX 6800M and RX 6600M.

Verdict
The results show that the Radeon RX 6800M is 30% faster on average compared to the Radeon RX 6600M. As you can see, the gap between these two video cards is getting bigger while increasing the visual quality – on Low we have a 17% lead for the Radeon RX 6800M, and on Ultra the difference is extended to 39%, and that is a lot.
Still, the smaller GPU is a worthy competitor that delivers 80 FPS on Ultra quality.
