[FPS Benchmarks] Dota 2 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) and RTX 3080 (85W) – a close result
Dota 2 is a well-accepted Valve game. The title is free-to-play, which means that you can download it via Steam and play on it right away. Most of the time, the title can be found in one of the top three places on the STEAM & GAME STATS chart and one of the main things that make this game so popular is the fact that it’s light on the system resources. You can play this game with almost any modern iGPU or low-end dGPU on the market (okay, at least on Low settings).
Speaking of power, we have prepared two fast Ampere GPUs for today’s article – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) and RTX 3080 (85W). Let’s see how many FPS these two can show when it comes to Dota 2.

Verdict
Actually, Dota 2 is a CPU-bound game and in our case, both GPUs are super close in terms of FPS. There are some slight differences here and there but the gap between these two video cards is insignificant. If Dota 2 is your main game, you can save some bucks with the 85W version of the GeForce RTX 3080. Don’t forget the fact that the 130W GPU is faster in a lot of other titles.
