[FPS Benchmarks] Death Stranding on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) and RTX 3060 (140W) – RTX 3060 is closer than you think
Death Stranding is one of the biggest PC gaming hits of 2020 alongside Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. You’re Sam Porter Bridges and you have to travel from colonies to colonies to supply them with a communication network while the Earth has been populated by hostile creatures.
The picture quality of Death Stranding is definitely good. The good news is the title isn’t heavy so the optimization is just fine. A 4GB GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 [Laptop, 55W] can deliver more than 70 FPS with maxed-out visual quality and that’s a good example of how light this game is. On the other hand, if you need more FPS for your high refresh rate display, you’re going to need something much more powerful. For today’s article, we’re going to compare two fast NVIDIA Ampere graphics cards – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) and RTX 3060 (140W).

Verdict
Well, at least when it comes to Death Stranding, the difference between these two video cards isn’t big at all. We’re talking about up to a 3% difference at best which isn’t even noticeable during gaming. It seems that the bigger TGP of the GeForce RTX 3060 (140W) is its secret ingredient for high FPS values.
