[FPS Benchmarks] Death Stranding on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (105W) and RTX 3060 (140W) – RTX 3070 Ti is just 4% faster
Death Stranding debuted for PC in 2020. In short, you’re set in the US after a cataclysm and the whole Earth is full of hostile creatures. Your task is to travel to different colonies – you have to provide them with supplies and with a new communication network.
Visually, the game looks very good and it looks like a well-optimized title. You don’t need a powerhouse to play this title – a GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 [Laptop, 55W] is enough for more than 70 FPS on Very High details. On the other hand, people with fast refresh rate displays will probably need higher FPS values. We have prepared two good Ampere GPUs for this article – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (105W) and RTX 3060 (140W). Let’s see the performance difference between them when it comes to Death Stranding.

Verdict
That was a bit unexpected – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (105W) is just 4% faster on average compared to the GeForce RTX 3060 (140W). Both GPUs are showing a really close performance in Death Stranding. It’s up to you and your preferences – the GeForce RTX 3060 [140W] is cheaper, it has a 6GB VRAM buffer, and it needs significant cooling thanks to its hefty TGP. The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti [105W] has 8GB video memory, it’s expensive, but it can be fitted in thin gaming laptops because its TGP is reduced to 105W.
