[FPS Benchmarks] Battlefield V on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) and RTX 3060 (130W) – the RTX 3080 wins but the RTX 3060 is the smart buy

Battlefield V isn’t the newest game out there and the debut of its successor is on the way but despite that, it’s still a decent game. The graphics quality is good features like ray-tracing are available as well. The title offers a single-player campaign but the main event here is multiplayer.

The Conquest mode is maybe the most interesting one because up to 64 players can battle each other on a single map (divided into two teams). As we said, the game still looks good and it’s not the heaviest title on the market but you know the drill – in multiplayer, a higher FPS is always helping. So, for this comparison, we have prepared two fast NVIDIA Ampere GPUs – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) and RTX 3060 (130W).

Verdict

On Low and Medium, both GPUs are close, but on High and Ultra, it’s clearly visible that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) is faster compared to the RTX 3060 (130W). On Ultra, the bigger GPU is 17% faster. When you add the end prices in the mix it looks like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) is the smart buy because it offers good performance and it cost significantly less than his bigger sibling.
