[FPS Benchmarks] ARK: Survival Evolved on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (105W) and RTX 3060 (140W) – RTX 3070 Ti is 16% faster

There aren’t many games on the market that are offering a close overall gaming experience like ARK: Survival Evolved. You’re on an island prohibited by prehistorical creatures (in most cases – dinosaurs) and because of that, you have to play strategically if you want to survive. You can craft weapons for hunting smaller creatures for food. You can even build your own base for better defense because there are other hostile humans on the island.

Visually, the game looks great, especially on the Epic preset. However, the title isn’t light at all in this scenario especially if you have a fast refresh rate display and you want to see high FPS values. Even a powerhouse like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 [Laptop, 165W] can achieve “just” 81 FPS on Epic quality which isn’t enough for 120 Hz or 144 Hz displays. In this article, we’re going to compare two good Ampere graphics cards – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (105W) and RTX 3060 (140W).

Verdict

Not bad at all, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (105W) is 16% faster on average compared to the GeForce RTX 3060 (140W). The good news is both GPUs can show good FPS on Epic quality – 66 FPS for the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (105W) and 59 FPS for the GeForce RTX 3060 [140W]. If your waller is wide-enough, the can give you better performance but on the other hand, the GeForce RTX 3060 [140W] isn’t a slouch and in addition, this GPU is cheaper.
