[FPS Benchmarks] The Witcher 3 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) and RTX 3060 (75W) – a mind-blowing 35% difference
The Witcher 3 isn’t that new anymore but on the other hand, the game still looks good and it’s one of the most most popular single-player PC games up to date. If we take a look at the visuals, the game looks good even today, especially if you bump every setting to its max state.
Speaking of graphics, you can find a lot of mods that are enhancing the visual quality of the game. In addition, there are many fan-made add-ons that include interesting quests. The Witcher 3 is a well-optimized game and the majority of low-end GPUs can run it at least on Low.
So, let’s check the performance of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) and RTX 3060 (75W).

Verdict
Now, that’s a big win for the 130W GPU. Yes, the bigger video card is 35% faster on average – these are two different worlds in terms of performance. At least in The Witcher 3, higher frequencies and bigger TGP lead to a significant performance boost. On the other hand, the 75W video card is doing a good job too – 85 FPS on Ultra is (perhaps) enough for most gamers.
